Groupe Renault is a French multinational automobile manufacturer established in 1899.

The company produces a range of cars and vans, and in the past has manufactured trucks, tractors, tanks, buses/coaches and autorail vehicles.

According to the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles, in 2015 Renault was the tenth biggest automaker in the world by production volume, with 50.5% of sales coming outside of Europe. The Renault–Nissan Alliance is the fourth-largest automotive group. The group has invested heavily and consistently in electric cars.

Renault is the market leader in Germany for electric cars. Spark was asked by Serviceplan PR to research German celebrities that could test drive the new electric car Renault ZOE and negotiate the fees and agreements.

The Renault ZOE seems to have hit the spot with European consumers. With the ability to drive up to 400 kilometres with one battery charge, a modern & fun design and fast recharging times, it’s easy to see why the Renault ZOE is making driving an electric car a real alternative to a standard petrol powered car, not only in an urban environment.

German TV stars Jörg Pilawa, Panagiota Petridou und Amiaz Habtu test drove the car on camera and explained why it is such fun to drive the ZOE and how easy it is to recharge the car and find a charging station with the build navigation system etc. All three are very well known in Germany for their captivating personalities and openness to try new things.

As part of the PR campaign Renault also gave away competition prizes to attend the Formula E world championships in Berlin.
