Deichmann SE (formerly Heinrich Deichmann-Schuhe GmbH & Co. KG) is a major German footwear retail chain founded in Essen, Germany.  In 2017, Handelsblatt called it the biggest shoe vendor in Europe.

Established in 1913 by Heinz-Dorst Deichmann, the company remains 100% owned by the Deichmann family.

Spark was asked to clear the publishing rights for a new recording of ‘What the World Needs Now’ composed by Burt Bacharach & Hal David for their European wide ‘Unique & United II’ campaign.

Spark negotiated the fee and agreement with the music publisher on Deichmann’s behalf.
