World Vision has long standing relationships with famous personalities that have provided invaluable support to the charity. A very good example is the well respected German musician Wolfgang Niedecken who has passionately supported World Vision’s work to give former child soldiers in Africa a second chance in life.
On behalf of World Vision Germany Spark went on a search to find more personalities that would be willing to support World Vision’s important work around the World.
Alvaro Soler, who lives in Germany but has Spanish roots, easily fulfilled the requirements. After an initial meeting with World Vision a number of important and urgent projects where presented to him. He picked a project in Kenya that interested him most. The Marsabit und Laisamis region that has been battling with long periods of droughts and pests which impacted greatly the local population. Alvaro traveled with World Vision to the region to experience first hand the problems the local population faces on a daily level.
Alvaro kindly committed to become a World Vision ambassador to help raise the awareness about those problems and to secure sponsorships for children who would benefit from World Vision’s help the most.
