Music Rights Clearances for Penny Deutschland

Penny asked Spark to clear the sync rights to record a new version of the iconic song ‘Wonderful World’ made famous by Louis Armstrong in the 1960’s.

The song is used for a very emotional video that shows how Penny’s own charity ‘Der Förderpenny’ has been supporting over 300,000 charitable causes. Penny customers can give a tip at the checkout that will go to a local charitable cause. Penny doubles the amounts given by the customer.

Penny hopes that this campaign will raise even more awareness that giving money to the Förderpenny has been transforming children and teenagers lives all over Germany. The initiative has raised over 4.6 million Euro for 2,400 different associated charities to date.

Spark negotiated the sync fees and licensing agreement with the 3 music publishers involved on behalf of Penny.
