Peggy Gou teams up with Hyundai on Hydrogen Mobility campaign

Hyundai Logo, HD Png, Meaning, Information

The Hyundai Motor Company, commonly known as Hyundai Motors  is a South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer headquartered in Seoul. Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967 and, along with its 32.8 percent owned subsidiary, Kia Motors, and its 100 percent owned luxury subsidiary, Genesis Motor, and electric vehicle subsidiary, Ioniq, altogether comprise the Hyundai Motor Group.

Hyundai operates the world’s largest integrated automobile manufacturing facilit in Ulsan, South Korea which has an annual production capacity of 1.6 million units. The company employs about 75,000 people worldwide. Hyundai vehicles are sold in 193 countries through some 5,000 dealerships and showrooms.

As global leader in fuel cell mobility, Hyundai further fosters the discussion and education around the topic of hydrogen as the clean energy source of the future. Through Hyundai’s latest initiative, their H2U advocacy program, the company discusses and explains fuel cell and hydrogen technology with a group of communicators and influencers from different fields, such as science, technology and the music industry.

Launching on September 10th 2020, H2U will be fronted by South Korean, Berlin-based DJ and producer Peggy Gou. She will be joined by some of today’s most forward thinking creatives to further amplify the campaign.

As an internationally famous DJ, Gou travels often and is eager to find new solutions to assist with the transport of her equipment. In a Hyundai NEXO – a hydrogen-powered, zero-emission car – Gou takes us on a tour of Berlin, a city praised for its progressive culture and its hydrogen infrastructure. She is proud that a Korean brand has become a global pioneer for hydrogen technology and as she gears up for her Closed Club Tour – a visit to some of Berlin’s famed nightlife since their temporary shuttering Gou – wonders if hydrogen can help Berlin clubs reach their goal to become CO2 neutral by 2050.

Just as Gou is a leading voice in club culture around the world, Hyundai is leading the transition towards a hydrogen-powered ecosystem. The two pioneers share energy and innovation, and both look forward to a brighter and greener future. As an H2U’s ambassador with over 1.8 millions followers on Instagram alone, Gou has the ability to drive and amplify the younger generations’ demand for holistic energy solutions that do not require fossil fuels. Peggy says: “In the future, I believe entire cities can be powered by hydrogen fuel cells: not only cars, but buildings, factories, and even clubs.”As part of Peggy Gou’s involvement she staged a worldwide accessible DJ set via live stream from a Berlin club that is currently closed due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Spark was asked to negotiate Peggy Gou’s involvement on behalf of Hyundai.  This included all negotiations and the agreement between the two parties.
